I suddenly realised today that I've not really spoken here in some time. There are plenty of reasons why not, all of them involving events that I've wanted to attend IRL. But I've far from been avoiding good old WoW.
Limescale has now completed the grind of gold that was required to train to Riding 300 - and is now riding around in Outland on the back of a Swift Green Windstrider. That was a pretty awesome effort on my part. I've never really been fond of grinding for money, but I must say it was quite easy to take my existing 2.5k gold stash (which has varied a lot since hitting level 70 - earned from questing to 70 and Auctions etc) to the 5.2k required to train and buy the mount in a few days. This was achieved through questing my ass through Netherstorm (which I'd left completely untouched once I hit level 70) and the new Daily quests at the Shattered Sun Offensive.
Sadly I've not been participating in much PvP of late. After collecting near all the items that I wanted to get before Season 4 kicked in I've all but stopped entering - only a quick visit here or there for some of the daily pvp events. I've not lost interest really; but I don't want to lose interest - so taking a break from the Battlegrounds in the best option for me. I've continued playing some Arena - but again; it's not been a serious thing. Most of my team mates in various teams have lost a lot of interest in Arena while waiting in what seems like an eternal limbo for Season 4.
Should I be playing hard and saving my points for Season 4's arrival? Maxing out on the 5k Arena Points and 75k Honour? I guess I should be - but WoW remains fun only while you have a goal within realistic reach. If I cram my PvP now just to purchase everything that becomes available to me the day that Season 4 kicks in, what is there left for me to do except Arena for the Rating push? Nothing really. So while I may not being as efficient and as dedicated as I could be to improving my combat prowess with gear in PvP - I am infact preserving that previous commodity - fun.
In other news - I think that I have already exhausted my Survival build as far as fun is concerned. Blood Craze and Blood Frenzy are awesome when stacked up with large hit points, but I really feel the lack of punch that I know that I can achieve. I'm looking at different builds now and talking to other Warriors, looking for my next build and itemization.
