For a month now (or just over) I've been playing with the same talent spec - Endlesss Rage, Maces & 5/5 Enrage (41/20/0). I have little or no complaints about this spec. [Endless Rage] does seem to yield a lot of extra rage. Some people complain that it is too much rage, and that with Mortal Strike and Whirlwind on cooldown there is little to use it for. I disagree. Endless Rage enables enough bonus rage yield from your attacks that you can use Heroic Strike more often.
Heroic Strike is a nice amount of burst damage, and if like me - you time your Mortal Stike's to land at the same time as your normal swings (using a swing timer is great for this); you can use some of that excess rage to turn that normal swing into Heroic Strike damage. This not only means that your white hit turns into a special (yielding no rage generation) and generates bonus damage from the Heroic Strike ability - but because it is now an ability, if it crit's you will get the extra bonus damage from the [Impale]. The potential for large burst damage is high - and might well be enough to drop your enemy before a healer can save them.
Moving on from Endless Rage and Heroic Strike though - that build featured [Mace Specialization] which I partnered with my [Gladiator's Bonegrinder]. The stun proc effect from the Mace Specialization was nice - as was the bonus rage generated from the stun. The proc always seems to proc at awesome times (often interupting a spell cast, or slowing a fleeing enemy) - but that has absolutely nothing to do with the mechanic of the talent and everything to do with when I actually notice that it has procc'd. I don't however think that you really get the most you can get out of Mace Specialization unless you head towards Blacksmithing and get yourself a [Stormherald] - which is not only a huge investment of time, but also cash and materials. I for one do not play WoW enough to justify the outlay of time I would need to dedicate to get that weapon. Mace Specialization and Stormherald is one of the most potent combo's in a Warriors (potential) arsenal.
So because I am not getting the most out of those 5 points in Mace Specialization - for Season 4 I'm going to migrate on over to [Sword Specialization] and pick myself up one of those [Merciless Gladiator's Greatsword] - which will be readily available from an Honour vendor near you for around 27,000 Honour and 40 Alterac Valley tokens. This will enable me a 5% chance to get a bonus hit from any attack that I make on an enemy, which itself can crit. I won't go into the details of Mace v.s. Sword v.s. Axe at the moment here - that subject has been done to death almost everywhere.
I'm also considering some other changes to my Talent spec for Season 4 - but again; I'll go into that in more detail at a later time.
