Well it was a long time waiting – but finally Season 4 is upon us! /cheer 

I’d managed to grab myself 100 of each token prior to the event itself, which I converted in total to just over 15k honour and 50 of each token (the other 30k+ I had earned). I’d also managed to accumulate 1900 Arena Points in readiness. This Season I knew that I wanted to up my arena game somewhat, and I’m going to be concentrating on the 2v2 team that I have with Dontfoget. This season I want to put out more DPS to help our team more, relying on my higher armour and resilience ratings so I’m enchanting and gemming away from Stamina for pvp – instead taking the Strength and Crit path. 

So what did I spend my hard earned points on? Well firstly I wanted to fill my last two non-epic slots with epic quality items and thus went to Gadgetzan for my very own [Vengeful Gladiator’s Plate Helm] from the Season 3 rewards - and then nipped on back to Orgrimmar to grab the [Guardian’s Plate Belt] from the Season 4 rewards. Finally – what would a Warrior be without a new weapon? Sadly without rating from Season 3 my best option was to head on over for a [Merciless Gladiator’s Greatsword] which I instantly got enchanted with [Executioner]. I know that might not seem that exciting to most people, and others may consider the enchantment to be a little overkill for that weapon. But my argument is simply this: I care about my character’s gear and ability to progress – and I want to provide myself with every possible edge I can. 

I’ve chosen Sword from Mace specialisation as I mentioned before. This was for two reasons really. Firstly I really enjoy how Swords look and think that the Mace not only looks a little below par, but doesn’t sound as cool :) The second reason is Windfury totem. That with Sword spec is quite a nice combination. I’ve also moved away from Tactical Mastery for the purist 33/28/0 Flurry arena DPS build.  

So I’m better geared, better spec’d and have gained a good couple of months’ worth of 2v2 arena experience with the same partner. Fingers cross, Season 4 will be a good one. One step at a time... 1550 for those Season 4 legs first :)
