The new Season 4 items will
have the below personal and team arena rating requirements:

Chest: 1600
Legs: 1550
Gloves:
none
Off-hand: none

In addition, some of the Season 4 quality
items that will be purchasable with honor will also carry a personal and team
arena rating requirement:

Boots: 1700
Ring: 1650
Bracers: 1575
Belt: none
Necklace: none
Trinket: none

The Season 2
items, which will move to the honor system when Season 4 begins, will continue
to have no rating requirement.

Okay, well that is cool. If you follow the link right at the top there you'll see that there are some more rules implemented to reduce the amount of Arena boosting that occur's to farm large amounts of Arena points quickly. Sadly it won't solve the ability to get a Rating boost in order to get the amount of Personal Rating required to equip some of the gear.

I've not earned a great rating, nor have I really even been in arena often as I've just started out - so what have I got to complain about? Surely this is bad for me?

Nah - I want to earn my gear and my ratings fairly. I don't want any boost. I just want to PvP and prove to myself that I can achieve greater things. It will be a display of me getting better at PvP - something that I can feel actually happening as time goes along. But the rating will be a reward for my efforts.

Besides - doesn't the game just get boring when you have everything you want?
